Inground Pool permit
Inground pool constructions typically require a residential building permit – an inground pool permit. The required inground pool permit for an inground pool construction vary by state, county, and city (as shown in the table below). Each municipality has specific inground pool construction regulations and restrictions, covering such things as pool size, location, fencing, and setback distances. You will need to show that your design and construction plan complies with these requirements in order to obtain your inground pool permit.
Reasons Behind a Inground Pool Permit
- Liability – for the designers, builders, and you as a home owner
- Inspection – The city/county/state might need to do an inspection of the job site to make sure all building and construction is safe
- Quality – with an inground pool permit this ensures that you are getting a quality pool that you deserve
Possible Additional Building Permits
- Grading plan
- Erosion control plan
- Well and Septic permits
- Soil Tests
- Conservation and preservation permits
