Frequently Asked Questions
1. Will my salesperson be involved during the construction process to make sure I am getting what you sold me?
The sales team member(s) does not leave your side once a contract is obtained. We, along with our site supervisors, continue with you through the construction process and make frequent visits to the job site to make sure that your vision is becoming a reality! At completion, we will instruct you on the use of your pool, and either set up a maintenance contract with our service department or instruct you on caring for the pool yourself. You will always have access to the person who originally met with you to make sure you are getting everything you were promised.
2.How soon after contract can we get started? This will all be based on the County that you reside in and their specific permitting requirements. We will typically discuss these requirements with you at our initial meeting. Once all of the County approvals are met and a permit is obtained, we typically begin excavation within five business days (weather dependent).
3.What happens if I sign a contract and my HOA or the County does not approve? If for any reason you are not able to move forward with your swimming pool project your deposit will be refunded to you less any out of pocket costs up to that point.
4. Is the price quoted the final price, or are there any potential add-ons or hidden costs?
The price we quote is the price you pay. However, if you ask to make changes during the design or construction phase of the process, the price can either go up or down. In our proposal there are some allowances. Extra cost can arise if rock, water, fill, or other unknown underground conditions are discovered during excavation.
5. How long can I expect it to take to build my pool?
Generally we tell customers it takes 6 to 8 weeks from the time construction begins. In some instances it can take longer because of the overall complexity of the job.
6. How long will it take before I can use my new pool?
Once a pool is completed and full of water, the start-up procedures may take up to one to two weeks before you and your family can be swimming and enjoying your new pool.
7. What is the best way to ensure pool safety for my children and animals?
First and most important is a fence with self-closing and latching gates, required by nearly all municipalities. The addition of an automatic safety cover provides a second layer of safety. With an automatic cover, once the cover is closed and the key is removed from the locking mechanism that opens and closes the cover, no one can gain access to the pool.
8. When is the best time to install a pool?
Town & Country Pools constructs pools year-round pending freezing conditions. However, there is no better time to build a pool than now! The sooner we begin, the sooner you are enjoying your new pool!

10. If I have a small yard, can you still design a pool that will fit my budget, and complement my yard?
We think that you would be surprised when you see what we can do in a smaller yard. In recent years, we have seen lot sizes shrinking and have been getting very adept at building in these smaller areas. Our expert designers can create something for even the most challenging properties.
11. Will my pool have a warranty?
Yes. We know that customer service does not stop once the pool is completed. At Town & Country Pools, our warranties often exceed industry standards. We have a limited lifetime structural warranty as well as extended warranties on our pumps, filters and heaters. Above all else, we want you to be happy with your new investment, so we stand behind our work.
12. Important – How should I go about selecting the best pool builder for me?
Interview your prospective pool companies carefully. What is their reputation in the community? Do you know a friend or neighbor who has used the same company with good results? How long have they been in business and what is their experience? What is their standing with your local Building Department? Are they a member of the Association of Pool and Spa Professionals “APSP”? (Formerly the National Pool and Spa Institute). If so, is he designated a APSP Certified Building Professional?
