How to throw a Halloween pool party

Town & Country Pool Builders, serving Virginia, Maryland & DC offer Halloween pool party ideas

Are you looking at your swimming pool and wondering if there is a chance to throw at least one more poolside party? The swimming pool contractors from Town & Country Pool Builders know there is still time for at least one more and they tell you how to throw a Halloween pool party. Your guests may not go into the water if it’s too cold — but if you have a pool water heater — they might! If you think anyone will swim, make certain you plan a pool cleaning and maintenance visit before, and after, the party.

If you have a pool water heater, swimming might just be possible. If the air is chilly, invest in outdoor heat lamps and consider getting a towel warmer to make it easier to get out of the water without being too cold. halloween-party-pic

How to throw a Halloween pool party

  • A pool game for the kids could include “black light/orange light” similar to red light/green light. LED lighting allows you to change the color of the water and kick off a rousing game.
  • An in-pool relay race might also be fun for everyone. Play the game tag team style or have individuals fend for themselves!  Have your guests push a mini pumpkin across the pool water and see who gets from one end to another first.
  • Scavenger hunts are always fun. You can scout for sunken objects or for Halloween themed objects hidden around the yard.
